Benton Rooks had an interest in art and storytelling at a young age. He had numerous paranormal and out of body experiences as a child, leading him to question reality. He began to study storytelling, visual art, and mythology formally at college, with special interest in fantasy fiction. In 2007 he met and became friends with author John David Ebert, who served as an editor for the Joseph Campbell foundation. In 2010 he began to write for Reality Sandwich magazine. He also served as an editor for the publishing company Sophia Perennis, founded in 1980. He now writes for Huffington Post, Disinfo.com, and Reality Sandwich magazine.
